We are proud to announce that Hourigan Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s new Environmental Center – a 10,000 square-foot facility that will educate students on ways to save and preserve the Chesapeake Bay. The facility has been designed to be certified LEED Platinum and we will also pursue a Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification. Once completed, this project will be the first LBC certified building not only in the Commonwealth of Virginia but also in the entire Mid-Atlantic region.

“This is a “platinum” project on many levels, and we look forward to being a partner in this very important effort to improve the quality of the Chesapeake Bay waters and surrounding watershed areas.”  – Chris Brandt, Executive Vice President

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a frneid who was doing some research on that. And he just bought me lunch because I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel. by Carl W. Buechner.
