The Chesapeake Bay Foundation
With its founding in 1967, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation became the only conservation organization committed solely to saving the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams. CBF’s vision is a restored Bay with healthy rivers and sustainable populations of crabs, oysters, and fish. CBF’s programs are intended to be life-changing—for participants, the community, and our environment. Through students learning hands-on about Bay ecosystems, citizens volunteering, staff demonstrating aquaculture techniques to watermen, and many other programs, CBF strives to improve water quality for the benefit of all, both now and for future generations. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation has been the guiding force behind the success of this project.
